“Environmental Justice In Brazil”

When: May 22 through June 26 (Summer Session I, five weeks); May 22-June 11 in Brazil.
Where: The Amazon Region and Southeastern Brazil.
What: 7-credits, including one course in Anthropology (Campbell), one course in Communication (Prado), and a one-credit course in service-learning
Academic Goals of the Program:
- Learn about the environment & human culture in Brazil
- Learn to report accurately from the field, producing stories about environmental issues
- Contribute to environmental and social justice movements through service work
- Visit culturally and historically significant sites in the fifth largest country on earth
